The sport went from being the ragtag younger cousin of professional boxing, one that nobody wanted to talk about or admit that they watched, to becoming the fastest growing and arguably most important branch of the combat sports tree altogether.
I think that sooner or later the sport is going to grow and change. Fighters…are going to unite. Instead, he sees viewpoints as constructive criticisms ordered toward helping make the sport be the best it can be.
Few have left behind as many, and none have found so many ways to infuriate in the MMA industry as Frank Shamrock. Recently, Shamrock has attached himself to Bellator, and will be appearing on their MMA-focused reality show.
This has reopened the old wounds between the two, and they have been exchanging pointed jabs at each other since. You can read some of their recent exchanges here and here.

That's it, that's the way I feel about it. The heart of matter, as far as White is concerned, is the way Couture handled his departure with the company. Stop worrying, relax and have a great Christmas. We'll talk later. As much nostalgia as there might be for Couture's past, there's also some detritus from it that he can't escape.
An ugly and public split with the company in , however, has not only kept him away from the organization, he isn't even allowed to attend events. They're trying to get back at me and to be an irritation to me anyway that they can be. They don't like that I've pointed out some of the issues with their contracts and the way they treat fighters and they've never liked that from day one, holding them to the contracts and ancillary rights and all those sorts of things that me and my management fought with them over since the day they bought the company.
Yeah, I would like to be included. It's a sport that I felt like I was involved in in seeing grow and become what it's become. As Couture sees it, this isn't his call.
