Breakfast was amazing, a made to order meal with a wonderful chef. Location was ideal near some iconic places in the area. It felt very safe and host was friendly. The room was very small and our ground floor room No. There was no room service, there were no replacement towels in our room and despite asking the proprietor for some, none were forthcoming. A very worrying matter is that our particular room had no escape route should there had been a fire, the entrance was via the laundry and the windows including the bathroom had metal bars on the outside.
The breakfast was good and the cook Margarita was very friendly. Free parking was a bonus. Bus stands close by. I loved the house this B and B is in. It was historical and interesting. I felt safe here which is important to me. My room Room 3 upstairs was perfect.
I slept better the 2 nights I stayed here than I do at home. I loved watching movies on the large TV. I will definitely be staying here when I come back to LA. Location, comfortable bed.
None that we can think or. Location was a consultation, price, and a good breakfast before we head out. The location is so close to where I wanted to go. The host and the cook were very nice and the room even if we got the small one was comfortable enough for me and my hubby. There was an abundant supply also of soap, shampoo and conditioner.
Where do I begin She was the "chef". The only thing redeeming about this fake Bed and Breakfast was the very comfortable King size bed. The owner was very nice and very accommodating, I had a late flight coming in after the check in cut off of pm but I talked to her earlier to let her know and she was very understanding. Dianne would just direct people to the kitchen where the housekeeper was cooking, but only for Dianne and the staff. So there wasn't even any room for the guests to cook for themselves should they want to. And honestly no one expects to be cooking their own meals and cleaning their own dishes at a bed a breakfast. The food wasn't even appetizing, unless you happened to have a hankering for a wide array of over-ripe fruits.
Dianne should have advertised the place as a hostile, because the only thing you'd find there was a bare bones bedroom and plenty of hostility.
Moment No. Tabatha took her takeover of Cinema Suites very seriously, and in order to truly gauge the level of service offered, she stayed the night. Between the hair on her pillow, the not functional armoir, and the dirty towels, Tabatha wasn't exactly thrilled. She was so disgusted by it all that she refused to take off her heels, even when she went to bed. We arrived on a Friday morning and our room was being cleaned. My wife had an immediate reaction to the smell in the room. The cleaning person assured us that it would be gone on our return.
We dropped our bags in the closet and went out for the day. She immediately left the room and I took her elsewhere. Turns out they use some cheap laundry detergent on their sheets and bedding that was causing the reaction Suavitel Field of Dreams scent. Definitely not an unscented cleaning product as I was told in advance. I contacted hotels. For a place that is almost years old and has a musty smell about it, i can understand why they want to use scented products for their bedding. However, if they cause health issues, they should be willing to waive the charges.
We never stayed here That's it. I understand cancellation policies, but not being willing to even meet us halfway and refund one of the two nights is appallable behavior.
Excellent place- cute house filled with asian inspired decor, very clean, located on a corner on busy fairfax and easy walking distance to LACMA, La Brea tar pits, and ethiopian restaurants.
Stayed one night in the Shangri-la room over the weekend. Room was large and bright with two chairs, dresser, flat screen tv, reading lamps, king size bed, and connects to large bathroom with separate bath and shower. Room was comfortably heated, does smell a bit like cleaning supplies and old house but does have a window that opens to air out if needed.
Room came with 2 small bottles of water, shampoo, conditioner, soap, keys to lock the room, and it's own parking space out back exactly 5 spaces in back so each room has a space and free breakfast in the morning which was excellent.
