This item leads to the following questline:. A flying mount is required for this reputation grind, and riding skill is necessary to advance past neutral. Netherwing is one of the only factions in the game where players do not lose reputation by attacking and killing its members. Ignoring both the egg quest and the human racial reputation bonus, the fastest reputation progression possible by completing the daily quests is:.
Completing [70 R] Accepting All Eggs can significantly reduce the total number of days needed to reach exalted. Some have reported getting there in three to four days. Just finished last night. For me the key was going on video. Then I set my hearth to Sanctuum of the Stars and times a day, I'd head down there and do a full pass of all the areas looking for eggs. On average I found a day, though I got 10 on the first day, and 10 on another day. Regardless though, very few people check the Dragonmaw Fortress, so that's where you should do your first pass. Also when you are farming for the Fel Glands, preferentially kill the Netherskates red nether rays because they drop Motes of Mana, and are spaced around Air Elementals which drop motes of air , so you can make some money doing those dailies every day and selling your primals after.
You can speed your time up by doing the non-daily quests that come up, but one, Wing Commander Mulverick, is extremely difficult to do solo unless you're a druid you won't die from being dismounted since you can remount and simply try again or a paladin aura. For the quest "Disrupting the Twilight Portal' there are 4 camps on Twilight Ridge that have pinkish-purplish tents. There are 4 caster mobs Acolytes and Spellbinders and one hunter-type mob patroling around.
If you land behind each of the purple tents, kill the hunter mob and his demon, then kill the 4 casters very low hp , you've done your 20 kills. The elites do not patrol back there so you are essentially safe the whole time. Keep in mind that some pulls, 2 casters will come at once. The quest "The Deadliest Trap Ever Laid" is exceptionally easy if you are a healer, as said in several posts here on wowhead. As a mage, I'd stand at maximum range and kill the low hp dragons. The mobs would aggro me and multishot the windrider who would take care of business.
I died once sometimes, but always completed successfuly. Good luck on getting your Netherdrake, the mount is definitely worth it. Veridian FTW! Comment by is there anyway to get rid of the Dragonmaw Illusion? I almost decided to skip it, but it'a pretty easy if you are methodical about doing every NW daily, every day It does take up a chunk of time to do, but you also make some good coin. And if you are doing dailies anyway just to make some gold, why not get some NW rep while you're at it.
As others have said the key to making it go quicker are the eggs. Research the spawn locations, and fly by them every chance you get while doing the other dailies in the area. I was prepared for a 2 month ordeal, but it went pretty quick. Comment by Is there any way to get a tabard if you hit exalted? The one that the orcs have. Comment by When patch 2. Comment by The reason the daily cap is going to 25 is because theres 19 dailies from the new area. This means that youd be able to do at most 6 netherwing quests if you do all of the new areas dailies, and would also mean you'd be rejecting dailies like cooking, instances, etc.
Wouldn't be faster though, probably slower since you would want to do the other dailies. Comment by littlidabbi For those interested. No one cares for making it. Comment by Nighteyes Honestly, I don't see much point to the netherwing quests after 2.
The quests are time consuming took me 2 hours to farm 35 nethermind flayer skins while also getting the Crystals. With the other quests introduced in 2.
Also, the Netherdrakes arn't all that big a deal on any server that has raiding level guilds, since they're not uncommon and fancy when there's hundreds of them around. I personaly will grind rep for a short while to see if the gold is even worth my time.. Comment by I found something interesting out.
While grinding for rep herbalist, if you pick a Dreaming Glory and fly out of the area to do something else, you will lose your dragonmaw orc diguise, but you will keep the Netherdrake cloaking on your epic flyer! This glitch also works with the Blood Elves Mana Tap. Yes it's very important you have a gathering profession and find every single egg possible. Do every quest no matter how long or tedious, scavenge the mines lots of eggs there , and pillage the Dragonmaw village every hour on the hour.
Do not hesitate, get those eggs. I have about 3 more days of grinding enabling me to reach my goal in about a total of days. Goodluck to all of you.
Well worth it. Comment by Question I thought they would be for a quest for later revered rep or something, but there are none. Do they give rep if killed? Comment by Easiest rep grind other than Shattered Sun imo got from neutral to exalted in 5 days just did dailies then farmed eggs for the rest of the day. Comment by Dragonx92 Also want to add the race quests give a lot of rep First three are rep i think then Ichman and Mulv are each and Skyshatter is , just don't get caught up in them and forget your dailies.
Comment by tlanwarrior Intersting bug: Balance druids under the illusion of an Orc who turn to Moomkins will stay as an orc, but have the Aura, and buff of a Moonkin. Feral Druids how ever turn into a bear. Comment by Don't think its been mentioned, but some of the dailies can be shared with a party to achieve common goals, including: - A Slow Death especially useful since the Fel Glands take so long to accumulate in SMV - Dragons are the least of our problems - The Booterang - Disrupting the Twilight Portal If you can find a party to do these quests, along with The Greatest Trap Ever Laid, it will reduce the amount of time taken to do them.
Comment by Heya guys! Comment by How come I won't get any Rep. I did the quest Kindness and the next 2. The I realized I didn't get any rep. Afetr Kindness it's sepposed to get me to Neutral. I do have my epic glight, so I'm not shure what's wrong. If any of you have an idea while that happend, let me know pls. Thank you. Comment by Allakhazam hello all, i do not have the gold for my epic riding skill yet, but i was hoping i could start doing the daily netherwing quests.
Comment by Allakhazam yes u can start it i just did it right now and all i have is normal flyin not epic u can do all the mordeni quest and become neutral with netherwing. Comment by Allakhazam No they can't.
To start the chain u must have the riding skill, only then will Mordenai give u the first quest. Comment by Allakhazam I came here trying to calculate rep gained from dailies and how I could optimize it, and thought I was going crazy because something was missing Well what is missing is the quest "Picking up the Pieces".
Comment by Allakhazam You can get to Neutral without the riding skill. Note - you do not need an Epic Mount, just the riding skill although why you would spend G on the skill and not G on the mount is beyond me.
Comment by Allakhazam. Edited, Nov 10th am by lordtoucan. Comment by Allakhazam Yes, you can become neutral with Netherwing before getting your final level riding skill increase. However, the chain to actually get the Netherwing to talk to you on the southern island does not start until you have the g riding skill, the chain being initiated by Mordenai.
Comment by Thottbot This faction is unlocked after doing a long chain of quests to save a mother Nether drake and her eggs.
The quest was broken in beta. You could spawn and kill the final mob and it wouldn't register in the quest log. Once completed it makes the faction Neutral and all Nether drake mobs become non hostile. My bet is that your going to either get the mount through questing for them or factional grinding. Comment by Thottbot Netherdrake rep cannot be gained currently. In an upcomming patch Blizzard will implement quests and various other ways to grind rep.
One exalted with the faction players will be able to purchase a netherdrake mount for around g. The Swift Netherdrake is available as an arena award to the top 2v2, 3v3, and 5v5 arena teams in your battlegroup. There are 3 islands in this area where you can pull these dragons down. Go to Netherwing Ledge and search camps with orc peons. Wait until the peons eat the mutton and until you get the quest update.
Complete this step 12 times in total. He looks like this: Kill him he can be difficult for some classes to solo; best is you attempt this grouped with another player. Loot the item Partially Digested Hand from him. Right click the item and start the quest [70] A Job Unfinished.
Both can be found close to where you killed Arvoar. The Den Mother spawns here:. Now go to the mines that are just below the Dragonmaw Base Camp and kill every mob that you see.
If you are a miner loot every Nethercite Deposit you find. However they also spawn themselves all over the island, especially inside the mines. They look like this:. You are not obliged to find one, but it gives you extra reputation, which is quite nice.
Go back to the Dragonmaw Base Camp and turn in all your quests. You are done for today! The next day : Repeat all the daily quests, just like the previous day in the same order while skipping the exceptional steps. The next day : same as above. You will be points into Frindly by the end of the thiis day and fel orcs beside Dragonmaw Ascendants, Dragonmaw Skybreakers and Dragonmaw Transporters will appear friendly to you. Accept them both. Fly to Netherstorm. We are searching for a huge raptor called Tyrantus.
He can be found here:. He has a short spawntime and is easily soloable, kill him and loot Hardened Hide of Tyrantus. Fly back to Netherwing Ledge in Shadowmoon Valley. Go back to the Dragonmaw Base Camp. She spawns at 65, Talk to her and complete the quest [70] The Netherwing Mines. You can already accept the follow up, however I put this step in the next part as it will be repeated daily Repeat the daily quests from the previous chapter, in exactly the same order.
You need to discipline 20 peons like this. Before entering the mines to hunt mobs there: Take quest called [70] Picking up the Pieces… from the Mistress of the Mines.
This is a new daily quest. Also get the following quest:. They actually mark finished quests at the Mistress of Mines and Dragonmaw Foreman as I was a step ahead already at that point. Before we do anything, we are going to go to point 1 , indicated on the map. While running use the rail bridges.
