How many relics are there in crash team racing

The three original types of relics from left to right : sapphire, gold and platinum. Time relics are collectibles won after completing a level in time trial or relic race mode below a certain time. They first appeared in Crash Bandicoot: Warped. There are three main tiers of relic: sapphire, gold, and platinum. Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time has a fourth relic type, a purple relic with golden ornaments, marking a level's developer time. These are not tracked for game completion, however.

Relics were first introduced in Warped , along with the time trial mode. Collecting five relics of any color opens up the secret warp room in the Time Twister. For every multiple of five up to twenty-five , a new level is unlocked. Earning every relic gold or platinum grants Crash a gem. There are thirty relics total to be collected. Relics are obtainable in a track's relic race, accessible once its trophy has been won and the hub's boss has been defeated.

Collecting ten relics of any color unlocks Slide Coliseum in the Adventure Mode. Once all eighteen relics are obtained, the player can face the final boss, Nitros Oxide , again for an alternate ending. Relics work differently in Crash Bash , which does not have a time trial mode. There are only gold and platinum relics, obtained by defeating the arena's champions two and three times in a row respectively.

Gold relic challenges are unlocked when the player reaches the fourth warp room , and platinum relic challenges are unlocked once the trophy for Mallet Mash is earned. The player must have a level's gold relic before they can attempt its platinum relic challenge. As in Warped , relics in this game unlock the secret warp room and the levels in it one new level for every five relics, up to twenty-five.

There are thirty in total. Relics return as rewards for completing a time trial. Obtaining all relics either gold or platinum unlocks a bonus boss fight against Mega-Mix. There are twenty relics in total.

Relics are obtainable in this game, but are not needed to unlock the game's alternate ending. There are twenty-four in total. Twenty-three platinum relics and one gold relic are the minimum amount necessary for full completion in the game. Relics have the same role that they did in Crash Team Racing. There are thirteen relics in total. Straight-forward track, it is worth grabbing the 2 and 3-second boxes on the last turn, then use the shortcut.

This track might feel like your first challenging relic race, watch out for hazards, and take both paths when the road splits. It is worth taking the long way and the shortcut at least once each, if you take the shortcut, go across the metal bridge at least once. At the top of the pyramid segment, there are some boxes to the left hanging in the air, you do NOT need them.

Taking the regular shortcuts, as well as the skip before the final turn will make this easy for you. Actually, easy if can keep your super boost flowing from the super boost ramp to the water segment.

Make sure to take both paths at the split at least once. The boxes on this track are pretty straightforward. The most efficient path is to take the shortcut once, the right path once and the small shortcut between these two paths.

You will see the yellow time box in between the rock. I would not even mess with the shortcut on this track. In the figure 8 segment, make sure to take both paths, and collect the boxes close to the walls. Watch the deep snow sections off the track for some big-time saver boxes. Make sure you take the shortcut over the wall twice, and around the wall once.

Not much advice I can give for this track. Make sure to hit as many boxes as possible, even if it means slowing down, or driving in the mud. The track does hide some boxes behind a few dirt ramps, but you do not need these for the minimum winning time. From this point on, the time trials become noticeably more difficult.

Those fiendish death routes, gem challenges and relics are not for the faint-hearted. Unlike Mario Kart , it has quite an extensive single-player component, along with some fiendish challenges to beat. The Relic Races see the player speeding around a track by themselves, blasting through boxes in an attempt to score the fastest time and earn a relic.

Here are ten with some of the hardest platinum relic times in the game! Some of those bends are very tight, and the timing of the turtles is very easy to mess up just slightly.

Dragon Mines, too, is a relatively short track. The saving grace, again, is that those crates will be your best friend. Some are counterintuitively placed, but practising the route and getting the most troublesome ones early should allow you to glide through the rest quite comfortably. Just be sure not to waste time as you traverse that awful rising, curving turn.

Now, Crash Cove is the first track in the game. As a result, you might expect it to be a brief, comfortable, get-to-grips-with-the-basics sort of track.
